At all of our Thai cooking classes we now are making fresh lemongrass and pandan leaf tea. It is healthy, delicious, calming and prepares the palate for a day of eating your delectable creations. Lemongrass: A Word of Caution
Side Effects: Although considered safe, the topical use of lemongrass oil or the ingestion of herbal tea made of lemongrass can result in allergic reactions in some people. Pandan Leaves are extremely useful for healing various wounds and is a a known treatment for smallpox. It is said to be a great pain reliever for ailments such as headache, chest pain, arthritis, earache and is a natural fever reducer as well. It is also believed to freshen the breath and reduce gum and mouth pain by chewing the leaf.
In addition to this, each leaf of pandan is also effective in reducing stomach cramps and stomach spasm.
