A shortened version of our Award Winning Cooking Class. The Afternoon Express Cooking Class is perfect for students that would like an Introduction to Thai Cooking but have limited time. Experience an exciting Thai Fresh Food Market, Learn to cook the Thai Classics and enjoy an afternoon in a Traditional Thai Teak House.
2:45 pm – 3:00 pm Pickup from Hotel (approximate time – a precise time will be advised during the booking process).
3:00 pm – 3:30 pm Soak up the atmosphere of the bustling Afternoon Market while learning about ingredients and how to choose them. Most locals shop daily at this type of market and they are found in pretty much every Thai neighborhood. Gain valuable insight into Thai Food Culture and taste some of the fresh produce.
3:30 pm – 3:40 pm Arrive at the Cooking School and enjoy a Cold Herbal Tea. Receive the colour Recipe Book and get acquainted with the Instructor & fellow class mates.
3:40 pm – 3:55 pm Prepare & cut the ingredients to be used for the day. Further learning about Thai ingredients as well as cutting techniques, alternative uses and substitutes that can be used.
3:55 pm – 4:10 pm A crash course on Thai Curry Pastes. Students will prepare and pound out a curry paste from scratch. Using a mortar and pestle with fresh ingredients that they have chopped & diced.
4:05 pm – 5:15 pm Time to cook! Cook both dishes under the watchful eye of the instructor and her assistants. Then sit down to enjoy your delicious creations!
5:15 pm – 5:30 pm Transportation back to Hotels and/or Meeting points.
* Transportation in the central city area is included. Otherwise meet at the Cooking School, Bluport Shopping Mall or the Clocktower.
