Pineapple Carving in Hua Hin

Ever wondered how Pineapple is cut in Thailand to look nice and have a built in handle.

Today we are at Chatchai Market in Hua Hin with Plearn showing us how Pineapple carving should be done. Now all you need is a bit of practice and a sharp knife..

As an interesting aside, Hua Hin and the surrounding areas are widely known for producing the best pineapple in Thailand.  The pineapple industry is the biggest employer in the province – Prachuap Khiri Khan.  You only need to drive 10 minutes out of town and pineapple fields abound.  Put them on you your list as a must try when in Hua Hin.

We buy freshly cut pineapple daily at Chatchai Market to serve as a palate cleanser during our classes.  If you would like some more info on our classes check us out:  https://thai-cookingcourse.com/about/why-us/

One last bit of pineapple trivia..

The Pineapple Fund (https://pineapplefund.org/) is a charity organisation that is basically one individual Bitcoin holder that is sharing his/her new found wealth for the benefit of all.  They are in the process of giving away $86 million USD to a range of charity organisations.  Thought this is worth bringing some attention to, even though the individual donor seeks none.  They wish to remain totally anonymous, are not running the ubiquitous fundraiser events and are not after tax write offs.  Just pure unadulterated humanity.  They are currently accepting applications for very worthwhile charities.
